Founded in 1971, Riverside Family Medicine Residency is one of the oldest family medicine programs in the country. With an emphasis on information technology, we provide the highest quality of care for patients while providing residents the greatest access to evidence-based knowledge. A high faculty-to-resident ratio allows residents independence in managing their own patients and creates a stellar teaching environment conducive to practicing direct patient care. The strong collegial atmosphere we enjoy is a unique trademark of the Riverside Family Medicine Residency Program and we continue to produce some of the finest family medicine physicians in the nation.
Riverside Family Medicine Residency is sponsored by Riverside Regional Medical Center. We are affiliated with Virginia Commonwealth University and Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine. We are located in Newport News, Virginia, a coastal community rich in tradition and history. Learn more about the community we hope you will call home!
